Re-Opening Safety Guidelines and FAQs
We have put extra safety measures in place to ensure we are COVID-19 secure and have implemented several new precautions, following government guidelines, so that we can provide a safe and enjoyable visit for everyone.
These measures currently include the following, however, please note that these may change as government guidance is updated:
- Ensuring that all customers (including those with complimentary tickets) must pre-book tickets in advance and online.
- Introducing 2-hour sessions available throughout the day. On booking you will be required to choose an arrival timeslot and will be able to stay for a maximum of 2 hours.
- Introducing a 1-hour deep cleaning routine in between each session.
- Hugely limiting the number of customers per session to ensure customers and staff can safely keep to the government social distancing requirements. Local government restrictions on meeting indoors must be followed.
- Asking customers to use hand-sanitiser on entry and exit, placing additional dispensers around the centre and operating an increased cleaning schedule.
Please note, we are currently a cashless site and all customers must, where possible, pay using a card or mobile device (ie: Apple Pay) rather than cash.
Finally, we ask that we all work together to follow social distancing around the venue, and we politely remind our customers to keep apart from customers in line with government guidance.
Below is an additional list of frequently asked questions which we hope will help you to plan your visit to us.
Why do I need to Book Online?
All customers must pre-book tickets in advance online so we can control numbers safely and enable us to track and trace. You will not be able to purchase tickets from the Entrance.
What are the Sessions Available?
Mon – Thurs: 10:00-12:00, 13:00-15:00
Fri: 10:00-12:00, 16:00-18:00
Weekends & School Holidays: 10:00-12:00, 13:00-15:00, 16:00-18:00
In between each session, our team will be carrying out additional deep cleaning.
What extra sanitising and cleaning procedures do you have in place?
On arrival and departure and on entry and exit to the Play Frame, all customers will be required to sanitise their hands. It is also recommended that you wash them regularly throughout your play session.
We will be operating regular fogging with a barrier reactive virucidal solution and sanitising of the Play Frame and, in addition, staff will be operating extra cleaning between every Session.
Will all areas of Snakes and Ladders be open?
All ball ponds will be emptied and small balls removed. Drop slides will be closed and astra slide lanes will be reduced. Areas containing building blocks will be emptied. Ride on toys and Wow toys will be rotated so that they can be sanitised between play sessions.
Ride on motorbikes will not be open in Brentford.
Will I have to wear a Face Covering?
Government Guidelines insist that all those who are over the age of 11 years (apart from those exempt) must wear a face-covering whilst in an Indoor Play Centre unless they are eating or drinking.
Staff are also required to wear face coverings during customer sessions (unless exempt).
I have a Complimentary Ticket. How do I arrange my visit?
Please email your relevant venue with a photo of your complimentary ticket and date/session time required (subject to availability), along with your telephone number so that we can arrange this for you. Please note you must redeem the complimentary ticket on arrival at Snakes and Ladders.
Will we be able purchase food and drink?
Yes, of course – with a socially distanced queuing system. Please social distance and wear a mask when queuing to the counter.
We kindly ask that all customers assist us in keeping our staff safe by disposing of any food and drink items in the recycling bins provided.
Only a limited menu will be available in Abingdon and Brentford.
Can I book a Birthday Party?
At present, we are unable to take any bookings for Birthday Parties.
How do you determine what is ‘Term Time’?
We align our prices with state school term dates.
We’re Good to Go!
We are proud to have been certified ‘Good to Go’ by Visit England, meaning we meet the new industry safety standard. Rest assured your visit to us will be fun and safe!
Are you running SEN sessions?
Not immediately. We will review the situation regularly and reinstate them when we consider it safe and appropriate.
If I or a Member of my household is displaying Covid-19 symptoms on the day we have booked to visit, what should we do?
If you are not feeling well with either one or more of the symptoms of Covid-19, please do not visit Snakes and Ladders, stay at home and follow government and NHS advice. Should you wish to re-arrange your visit, please email your relevant venue.
